Is there a free trial?
Yes — every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Connect live bank feeds and run AI coding on real transactions before committing. No credit card required.

How does annual billing work?
Pay upfront for 12 months and receive 2 months free (equivalent to 17% off). You can switch to annual from your account settings at any time.

What counts as a 'client' on the Practice plan?
One client is one NZ business or individual you manage in ty.money — including all their entities. A client with 3 companies still counts as one client.

How does Akahu bank access work?
We use Akahu's official open banking API. Access is read-only — we never store your banking credentials and you can revoke access at any time from your Akahu dashboard.

Can I migrate from Xero or MYOB?
Yes. We provide a guided migration tool for chart of accounts, opening balances, and historical transactions. Our NZ support team can assist throughout the process.

What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained and exportable for 90 days after cancellation. You can download a full export at any time — CSV for transactions, PDF for reports.

Does my accountant need their own account?
No. You can share access with your accountant directly from your settings. They get their own login with the permissions you choose — no extra cost.

Is ty.money IRD-approved?
ty.money is compliant with IRD record-keeping requirements. All transaction records and GST calculations meet the 7-year retention standard. We follow IRD guidance on electronic records.
